Skiiers in Latvia have come up with a unique way to enjoy downhill skiing without having to venture out of the country - they're building their own hills!
In the resort of Zargarkains, they've been adding to an existing hill each year, and have increased the height by 25m to 112m. In Ventspils, they didn't have a hill, so have built one from scratch, and it now stands at 52m. This building has made Lativa the downhill capital of the Baltics, and is attracting large numbers of visitors from Russia and the Baltic region.
As the country continues to expands it's resorts, the possibility of finding winter work there will also increase.
