What makes Big White different from the other resorts? Well for starters, there's plenty of fun to be had on and off the piste, so a ski job here really could be the time of your life!
The mountain has great snow, over 100 downhill runs, and there are great facilities. Besides the skiing you also have, skating rinks, a tube park, swimming pools, and loads of restaurants and bars.
Staff in the resort can also enjoy a variety of activities, designed just for resort workers, giving you a chance to get to know other seasonaires. These include visits to hockey games in Kelowna, ice hockey tournaments at the skate park, bbq’s, film nights and, at the end of the season, a end of year party at Kelowna Golf Course.
If you don't fancy living on the mountain, then stay in Kelowna, which has excellent urban facilities, beautiful views of Lake Okanagan, and a great night life. There's even a staff bus that will take you to and from work.
For après ski, Big White is one of the livelier Canadian resorts. It has over half a dozen bars and usually get busy as soon as the lifts close and stay so all night. Check out Snowshoe Sam's, The Moose Lounge, The Snow Ghost Lounge, Globe Cafe and tapas bar, Carvers.
