Every year Massage Me employ qualified massage therapists to work as part of our small and close nit team. As a therapist you will have one of the best and most rewarding jobs in the mountains, allowing you maximum time on the slopes as well as the ability to earn good money and hone your massage skills.
A typical day for a therapist does not start early as the majority of massages take place between 4pm and 8pm when people come off the slopes. This means that all a therapist has to do is check their online diary in the morning to see if they are free and then head up onto the slopes to enjoy the snow.
Treatments take place in chalets and hotels for people who are perhaps achy and sore from skiing or just on holiday and wanting to relax and treat themselves. We provide high quality mobile massage tables and equipment which makes creating a professional and comfortable massage environment as quick and simple as possible, however, it is the responsibility of the therapist to make sure you allow enough time to drive to your appointments and set up before the treatment is due to begin.
Most days therapists are finished by 8pm and free to enjoy the rest of the evening chilling out in the great accommodation, which we provide, or joining friends for a spot of Après. Therapists can also enjoy one full day and two mornings off each week on top of all other free time making it one of the best jobs for catching those ever desired first lifts.
For a Massage Me therapist the winter season will go by in a flash with certain periods (Christmas, New Year, February and Easter) being very busy for everyone in resort. At these times therapists are required to be organised, independent and flexible in their working hours. A winter season can be a roller-coaster but we do our best to provide as much support and training for our staff as possible and have a member of the management team in the office at all times ready to answer any questions.
Working as a therapist will have to be one of the most sociable jobs in resort, as a big part of the role is about building relationships with tour operators to help promote the company and make sales. The benefit of this is not only that therapists meet a huge array of people and quickly become integrated into the seasonaire scene, but also because we have some great pay incentives and bonuses in this area.
